Course overview
Since January 1, 2021, federally regulated employers must prevent and respond to harassment and violence under the Canada Labour Code and the Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations. Training every employee is part of that duty.
This online course explains the definition of harassment and violence, the workplace assessment and prevention policy, and the steps of the resolution process, from giving notice to negotiated resolution, conciliation and investigation.
Separate lessons cover the designated recipient's role, confidentiality, support for affected employees and the timelines the Regulations set for training new and existing staff.
Pair the course with your organisation's own policy so employees know who to contact and how.
